The team also advises people to go for martial arts training or self-defense classes to learn the art of self-protection in times of danger. Other precautions include avoiding taking anything valuable along while walking late at night on the street, taking along a partner when going out at night, especially in dark alleyways, and steering clear of areas with known high crime rates. Teenagers are requested to go with parental supervision late at night.
